COVID-19 Event Updates

Updated: April 26, 2020

As we continue to monitor the COVID-19 pandemic, I think we can all agree there is much uncertainty. This is a challenge that we never expected to have to deal with and we would like to assure you that the safety of our participants, volunteers, staff and spectators remains a priority.

As we are all in this together, we understand that we would like the events to continue as planned. However, this may not be the case and we may need to reschedule some events. We will be working closely with local authorities as well as our promoters to keep you updated. Our goal is to have all events be completed this year.

Here is the current Event Status:

  • Kamloops, BC (May 28, 2020) – RESCHEDULED….August 15th, 2020
  • Calgary, AB (June 20, 2020) – RESCHEDULED….August 22nd, 2020
  • Spruce Grove, AB (July 18, 2020) – COMBINED with Calgary…August 22nd, 2020
  • Moose Jaw, SK – CANCELLED
  • Vancouver, BC (September 12, 2020) – CONFIRMED

If an event is postponed/rescheduled your entry will automatically be transferred to the rescheduled date.

If athletes are unable to, or choose not to participate because of COVID-19 you must let us know via our online “Transfer/Cancel Registration Form” before event date. We have set up some options:

  • Transferable entry to another event.
You can transfer your entry to any event taking place either this year (2020)
    or any year after.
  • Transferable entry to another un-registered athlete.
If you know of someone who has not yet registered and would like to take your place, you can have them pay you directly for that event. Your substitute can simply complete the online entry form which has a section that asks…”Are you replacing a pre-registered athlete?” When they answer “Yes” the form will then ask…”Who are you replacing?” and then their entry fee will be waived.
  • Refund of entry fee
Our goal is to have entry fees refunded 3 (three) months after event date or sooner. Please keep in mind your entry fee supports costs associated with producing our events. Some of these costs have already been incurred. In other words, we’ve already paid for some things that go into running an event (i.e. venue rental fees, equipment, advertising, airfare, medals, prizes, swag, etc.) and it makes it difficult to refund money that has been spent….BUT we will do our best.
  • None of the Above
Your entry fee will contribute to rebuilding the Femsport community.

Please complete the online “Transfer/Cancel Registration Form” and we will take care of the rest.

We have also decided to freeze the current “early bird” entry fees. Entry fees will not increase between now and event date, they will stay the same.

Let’s work together, support each other and stay healthy. In the meantime if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Nancy at [email protected]
